Message	up with that connector. I just cut off the connectors all together and fitted the wire ends to insulated crimp on type connectors (reversing the male/female side for each wire so they always plug together the right way - no mixed up wires). Have had it this way for years with no issues and the connectors they tuck away nicely behind/below the balance tube. If your decide to fix this way -- be sure to slip some heat shrink tubing over all the wire ends and then once all the connectors are crimped - shrink the tubing over the ends of the crimp connectors, keeps moisture out of everything. Pretty easy fix to make too...
